Symptoms
As we age our bones soften as they lose Calcium and other crucial minerals. Once Osteoporosis has set in the bones are at risk for fractures. Some fractures are asymptomatic. Others cause a severe pain after even minor trauma. This can lead to a constant lower or mid back pain and ache.

All fractured areas are reinforced by Dr. Pazmino under direct radiographic observation. Dr. Pazmino utilizes special probes and needles to access the fractured bone, reinflate it, and hold it in this expanded position with cement. This procedure is called a Kyphoplasty..

Patients in California, or those who travel to Spine Cal have the distinct advantage of having Dr. Pazmino perform the procedure himself. Dr. Pazmino can perform this through his standard minimally invasive Percutaneous posterior approach with large spinal needles. This enables him to perform this procedure percutaneously with a 2 or 3mm incision/stab wound. Through this procedure Dr. Pazmino limits dissection through important posterior muscular structures.
